Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe: Join Moda Week International 2025

Where Fashion Meets Purpose and H.H. Dr. Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe is the Royal Host!

Warm greetings set the tone for Moda Week International’s extraordinary new season. Esmeralda Harwood, the visionary founder and chief executive officer of Moda Week International, opened this year’s message to her team with words of gratitude, humility, and inspiration. Her greeting to the New York City Fashion Show 2025 family was more than just a welcome. It was a declaration that this season is not only about style and glamour but about creating a legacy that embodies culture, beauty, and transformation. She reminded her colleagues that teamwork, respect, and unity would be the foundation of their success, and that through professionalism, humility, and love they would build something lasting, something that reaches beyond the runway and into the heart of communities across the globe.

Moda Week International, known globally by the abbreviation MWINTL, has established itself as one of the most distinguished fashion production organizations of the modern era. Founded in 2012, it was built on the vision of combining the high artistry of international haute couture with philanthropy, business strategy, cultural diplomacy, and global commerce. Its mission has always been to position fashion not simply as a creative industry but as a vehicle for global change. At its core, Moda Week International is more than just a series of glamorous events. It is a philanthropic movement that produces shows designed to transform lives through education, community advancement, and cultural celebration. Every production is a fusion of artistry and impact. Every runway presentation is both a performance and a message. Every garment showcased reflects not only the creativity of its designer but also the ideals of progress and the pursuit of a brighter, more inclusive future.

Esmeralda Harwood, the creative force behind this vision, has united some of the world’s most exceptional designers to bring forward fine art exhibitions and haute couture showcases that reach across borders. Her leadership has fostered a platform that does not only spotlight established luxury fashion houses but also welcomes emerging designers, students, and creatives to stand alongside them. This blending of perspectives enriches the global stage and ensures that the future of fashion is inclusive, diverse, and filled with new energy.

The foundation of MWINTL is built upon education and mentorship. Harwood and her executive team provide students and volunteers from around the world with hands-on experience, granting them the opportunity to work alongside designers, artists, and industry leaders. The philosophy is simple yet profound: fashion is not only a business or an art form, it is also a classroom, a pathway for empowerment, and a tool for the creation of future leaders.

This year, MWINTL steps boldly into New York City with the opening international event of New York City Fashion Week. The official venue, The Mezzanine, located at 55 Broadway in the Financial District, has been chosen not just for its elegance but also for its symbolism. Standing in the heart of Wall Street, where global markets shift and international decisions shape the world economy, The Mezzanine becomes the stage where fashion and finance, creativity and commerce, artistry and investment meet. The venue represents the merging of tradition and innovation, and through this partnership, MWINTL once again underscores its commitment to producing not just shows but transformative experiences.

The event is given an additional dimension through the presence of a royal host. His Highness Dr. Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe, an internationally recognized royal and humanitarian, will stand as the royal leader of this celebration. Born in Salzburg, Austria, Prince Mario-Max is the son of Prince Waldemar and Princess Antonia of Schaumburg-Lippe, and a direct descendant of the Royal Danish Nachod line of Princes of Schaumburg-Lippe, a noble family whose history is deeply intertwined with the founding of European cities such as Hamburg, Lübeck, and Kiel. His grandmother, Princess Feodora of Denmark, adds yet another illustrious connection to the highest circles of European royalty.

Prince Mario-Max is more than a heritage figure. He is a cultural icon and working royal who has bridged diplomacy, entertainment, and humanitarian service throughout his career. Recognized as an award-winning television and event host, an accomplished author with Bertelsmann Random House, a SAG-AFTRA actor, and a philanthropist, he has become a figure of international significance. In 2024, he was honored at the United Nations in New York City as Global Peace Ambassador and received the United States President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, alongside the President’s Volunteer Service Award, in recognition of his work promoting peace and humanitarian causes. His involvement with MWINTL 2025 brings both prestige and purpose, reminding audiences that fashion can exist alongside leadership, responsibility, and international service.

Moda Week International is also known for uniting fashion with music, and this season is no exception. International performers from across the globe will grace the stage. Pia Vásquez, the Ecuadorian pop and urban Latino singer-songwriter with more than two decades of experience, will bring her soulful presence, performing songs that have earned her acclaim in both the United States and Ecuador. Ramilia Galiautdinova, the award-winning Tatar singer, musician, and songwriter, will represent the cultural power of music as a universal language. Cina, a pop and rock singer known for her vocal strength and emotional authenticity, will join the lineup alongside Corvaa, the Greek-born, New York-raised artist and entrepreneur often described as “The Chameleon Vocalist.” Angelica Nor, a Colombian-American rapper and producer whose artistry spans hip hop, reggaeton, trap, and psychedelic rock, rounds out the diverse roster. Together these performers represent the global reach of MWINTL and the creative fusion that occurs when fashion and music stand side by side.

The designers featured this season represent a spectrum of traditions, innovations, and visions. Prashant Goyal, founder of Heritage India Fashions, is renowned for his vibrant creations that merge traditional Indian craftsmanship with contemporary global sophistication. His work is celebrated across prestigious runways and in both Hollywood and Bollywood, affirming the power of cultural storytelling. Sophia Marie Poulos, an American textile designer and sustainability advocate, brings a unique perspective with her upcycled collections that transform discarded materials into wearable art. Nia & Rose, a modern Australian fashion house, channels boho-chic artistry inspired by the landscapes and wildlife of Australia, merging accessibility with sophistication. Karen Elizabeth Couture, founded in New York in 2001, draws upon European classicism and modern urbanism to create garments that are bold, structured, and timeless. Glenroy March, the Jamaican-born founder of House of D’Marsh, celebrates Caribbean heritage through couture collections that have reached audiences across the United States, Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean itself. Etna Castaño, the Colombian-born jewelry designer and founder of Guapissima Artisan Jewelry, brings cultural pride and feminine elegance to her handcrafted pieces. These names represent not only designers but storytellers who weave heritage, artistry, and innovation into every garment and accessory.

Philanthropy remains at the core of MWINTL’s mission. This season the organization proudly honors Liberty Church NYC, a community that began with a small group in Central Park in 2010 and has since expanded into a global church planting movement. The church embodies vision, compassion, and faith-driven service, qualities that align closely with MWINTL’s values of love, purpose, and community uplift. In supporting Liberty Church, MWINTL demonstrates its ongoing commitment to empowering spaces that pour into their communities and to elevating initiatives that leave lasting social impact.

The future of fashion is also emphasized through MWINTL’s dedication to student designers. By giving young creatives a platform on which to debut their work alongside established fashion houses, MWINTL creates opportunities for education, visibility, and professional growth. This season’s debut of a talented student designer underscores the organization’s dedication to mentorship and education, bridging the gap between classrooms and couture.

The International Opening of New York City Fashion Week through MWINTL | NYCFS 2025 will take place on September 3, 2025. The event will not only attract international designers, music professionals, and industry leaders but will also bring the attention of Wall Street itself to the world of fashion. By situating itself in the Financial District, MWINTL highlights its mission to unite artistry with commerce, tradition with innovation, and culture with global business opportunity.

In the end, Moda Week International is about more than clothing, runways, or celebrity. It is about building a world where fashion becomes a symbol of progress, music becomes a bridge between cultures, and philanthropy becomes a guiding force. The 2025 season is not only a fashion show but also a historic celebration of identity, unity, and creativity. It is an invitation to the world to see fashion not only as fabric and design but as a force of transformation.

Moda Week International 2025 is where fashion meets purpose, where music and culture converge with commerce, and where the world meets itself on the runway of possibility.
