Carolina Velasco Saavedra, born in Cali - Colombia 1979. A born artist, I carry art in my veins and my works reflect the beauty of creation, especially focusing on nature, birds and flowers. My paintings are based on the figurative technique and are made mostly in oil on canvas or acrylic on canvas. Since I was very little, I have been fascinated by art subjects and classes, either at school or those that I took privately. What started as a hobby ended up being my passion and lifestyle. When I paint, I enter the depths of my being, my essence, and in this way I can project this onto the canvas through the paints. For me, art is a form of expression and a catharsis of emotions and feelings in which you can observe the life and trajectory of the artist. In this way, in my case, said trajectory is nourished by diverse Cultures, countries, situations, settings and characters that have interacted with me throughout my life. I can highlight in this way the American and Italian Culture that left in me the taste for the aesthetic and the perfect, for the polished and the organized that can be appreciated in my works. I want to be able to contribute a bit of myself to the world and to be able to continue learning from different cultures and techniques that allow me to improve my style more and more every day and define my concept more.
